I am Fernando Hoyos, with VAT number BE0639.920.183 and operating online as Hoyos
Translation. I am a Brussels-based freelance conference interpreter and translator providing
language service solutions such as conference interpreting, translation and proofreading. Please

When contacting me, I may process your personal data (such as name, postal address, e-mail
address and VAT number) in order to issue quotes, invoices and contracts; and to provide, request
or prepare conference interpreting, translation or proofreading assignments and services. Said
data will be directly provided by the clients using the information provided for in the “Contact”
section of this website.

 

Your personal data will not be used for marketing purposes or be disclosed to third parties.
However, contact information and other relevant information (such as e-mail address, telephone
number or meeting documents) might be disclosed with your consent to third parties to facilitate
the communication and preparation before, during and immediately after assignments involving
more than one conference interpreter or translator. Said information however would only be
disclosed to said professional conference interpreters or translators directly taking part in the
assignment and bound by the strictest confidentiality.

 

Your contact information may also be used to inform you about my availability to take on new
assignments or to notify of any absence (out of office).

 

The data provided for the issuing of invoices may be accessed for administrative purposes by other
parties, including fiscal services.

 

3. Retaining, modifying, deleting and storing of personal data

You may contact me at any time to have your personal data modified should you consider it
necessary. The personal data that I process for any purpose shall not be kept for longer than it is
necessary.

 

Notwithstanding the above, I may retain your personal data where necessary for compliance with
any legal or fiscal obligations to which I am subject.

 

Any personal data will be stored on a password-protected external hard-drive accessed only via a
password-protected notebook.
